I hope that the grief has gotten easier for you both to deal with. For me it took medication to find any relief and I'm not to sure about it, it's really just numbed my emotions and I can't even cry.

I was there that day. I saw the whole thing right in front of my eyes. I don't know Zak or even met him, but I remember the heart break I had after the accident. I held my cousin so close after that, I didn't want him to race anymore. I lifted up my prayers to Zak even though I didn't know him everyday and to everyone who knew him.

you probably don't remember me. I was a freshman and I used to sit in your study hall before lunch (Mr. S. freshman english teacher.) you told funny jokes and you included me in conversation. you never shunned me because I was "pond scum" as Mr. McDermott used to call us freshman last year. You were a sophmore. Same age as I am now. I just found myself thinking of you. and I got really sad. You were a really cool guy. I met your girlfriend. I guess you know that already. She is really pretty. You have good taste. I'm sorry that you couldn't be here. I moved away... after I found out what happpened. I was sad. Everyone was sad. I had to escape. But... I realise some things you just cannot turn your back on. Because.. What if God turned His back everytime we got sad. I hope your mum is happy. I hope she's celebrating the life and the joy that she brought into the world. She cares a lot. I know. I wish my mum was as kool as yours. This year, I tried to keep away from my old habits of slacking (remember us fighting over the computer in the english room?) I remember that you put ur girlfriends picture on the computer every day and I replaced it with my boyfriend's. WELL, LIKE i WAS SAYING.. i WAS HAVING A HARD TIME KEEPING FROM SLACKING... THEN i STARTED THINKING ABOUT YOU. AND HOW YOU DIDN'T HAVE A CHOICE OF WHETHER OR NOT YOU WANTED TO TRY OR SLACK.  I felt sick with myself. and You motivated me.                 I was honored to spend your birthday with your wonderful family, although it was your GP's funeral it was also a celebration of both your lifes.
              I was happy to meet your Mom I see where you got your good looks from. I met Jordan and had to hug her neck. But you  need to tell them to feed that child shes getting way to little. Some of your Dads good cooking would do her good.
              I hope you have met my son Brandon in heaven and are riding free forever, no speed limit and no stop sighs.

Zak I did not ever meet you but you sound like an amazing young man.  I lost my 16 year old nephew, Chance Barnes, on April 13, 2005.  You two sound so much alike.  Look for him in heaven and I know you will be great friends.  I wish much comfort to your family for the road ahead is hard as surely their hearts are broken.  God Bless you and your family and friends.  Close

Hows it going up there in heaven? n/m/h/ I just keep thinking of all of are great memories. I remember when you went to the rest room and I stole your quad you came out like huh lol.  I remember all the times I saw the 23 throwing roost in my face lol. All these memories help me make it through the pain of your loss. We had to give 2 Angels back to God also. They both loved to ride 
4-wheelers, however they did not race. Joey had just bought another 4-wheeler 1 week before their accident and they were riding the evening before their accident. I also read another memorial for another young man that loved to ride 4-wheelers that had went home to Heaven at a young age in 2006. Maybe Zachary, Tommy, Joey and Christopher are all racing around in Heaven. Maybe that is what the thunder that we hear is. God Bless you and your family.
Sounds like Zachary had awesome parents, just like Tommy and Joey had.

Hey Zack, I have a friend named NICK that got to heaven the same day you did. He is a fun guy! Maybe you two have meet each other already. Trust me, you cant miss him. He is the jokester.
